Bye bye Toronto

Next morning I left early to do some grocery for the trip and to see the CN tower. Richard was still sleeping, so I did not want to wake him up and walked away in silence. I left him a message that I would be back at the same place, but he did not wait there. What a pity, I wanted to say goodbye to him and to thank for everything. I would say that if I had not met him, I would have considered those 5 days as a completely wasted time.

The CN tower is the second highest observation structure in the world. It used to be the highest one, but some rich sheikhs in Arabia build something even higher. There is still a dispute which one is higher, supposing that we count the monstrouse antena. The trip cost 27 bucks, which is quiet a lot for a visit of an observation deck. „Whatever“, I said and reluctanctly took money out of the wallet. When I got on the deck, I had an ultimate view on the whole city. Skycrepers looked like tiny buildings or LEGO miniatures. In my opinion this observation deck was too high to enjoy a glance at the city – everything was so miniscule, like if I were looking through a windows on plane. Toronto is a huge city. It has 5 millions people living in its suburb areas – one city has so many inhabitants as the whole Slovak Republic – that is pretty scary. I am fond of nature and small towns, I would not like to live in a place like this. What I especially liked was a glass floor, through which you could have a terrific glance from the top to the very bottom. I almost got dizzy when I looked down, standing on the glass floor and observing tiny people walking higgledy-piggledy on streets.

After taking several pictures and movies I went back to the station and took my train to Halifax. These two days of journey were a big help for me – finally I had a rest and a safe place to sleep.
