A Perfect Day in Radium

The next day I felt as if I were a guest at the resort. Alexandra prepared a day full of activities for me. In the morning we went playing squash. I have not played this game for ages so naturally I was totally lame at the beginning. I could barely hit the ball, but I had so much fun by trying it :) Later an hour in the fitness room, then a great lunch and after that hiking. We were trying to find a path through the forrest to hot springs, but after several fruitless attempts we gave it up. Nevertheless, the scenery was beautiful anyway. We could see a vallay with the spectacular Rocky Mountains behind it. The weather was fine, it could not be better. Talking about everything possible we found a way to the hot springs and arrived there just in time to have enough time to enjoy it full before closing. I would say maybe more time we needed. After two hours I was so groggy that it was high time to go. I tried to enjoy it as much as possible, knowing that these were my last moments of luxury and comfort - I was going to undertake a challenging trip around Canada without staying in a hostel. I knew that is was gonna be hard. I did not know what I should expect and I tried to instill these lavish moments into my mind for worse times :)

Unfortunately, in order to use my week bus ticket to Toronto, I had to leave for Banff on the next day. What a pity, I planned to stay longer but I made a mistake in planning my schedule and I just had to go. I said bye to Alexandra and thanked her for everything. My leaving was very husty, I had to catch a morning bus to Banff and there was little time left. I wished I could have stayed longer there. Radium is a very nice place with many places to go. I am very delighted and thankful fo her hospitality and I hope I have a chance to do the same for her in the future.
