Last days

I have not met many interesting people on train except maybe 3 of them. As I said, there was not enoguh place for communication and besides small talks, it was difficult to get someone known better. On a chair next to me was a guy who was continually tipsy, talking just about booze and swaggering about Canada. It is always fun to talk with drunk peple, I just must be carefull and carefully watch my words, because these people can get infatuated very easily.

Another one was a 35-year-old woman, who was moving to Calgary in hope that she can find there a better job. I spent several hours by talking with her about everything possible.

Another very exciting guy was an older Jamaican, travelling from Halifax to Vancouver, to be together with his family. He had great hair I always wished to have – that so called Bob Marley style. Surprisingly, he did not smoke pot. As a very generous and talkative person, he offered many things to other travellers, like cheese, olivs and some small snacks. One evening he came up to me with a strange thing looking as a cookie. He said that it was a Jamaican bread and he gave me one piece to taste it. It was sooo good – it reminds me our Slovakian Marina cookies. tt was only softer. He said that he had to buy it in a special shop in Montreal – hmm, really good staff, indeed :)

One of the most exciting things during travelling by train is passsing the majestic Rocky Mountains. Furthermore if you have a joint and then go to the observation waggon with some cookies and tee – you get stunned twice J I spent almost 3 hours by observing that beautiful scenery – also I was not able to do anything else :P

That was my last day – the morning I came to Vancouver. When I left the Pacific station, I could not believe that I did it – and now, I am going home to pack my thins and in next day I am heading to Edmonton. My new job was waiting for me. As usually, nothing was planned, but I was lucky again – a day before my arrival a friend of mine offered me to stay ath his place until I find accommodation on my own. Sometimes I felt that things always get solved somehow and there is no need to worry about the future. I am very grateful for all my luck I got during my staying in Canada. I do not take it as granted – I think it is like a loan – one day I will pay it back by being helpful to others J

So - this is it - a happy end of my story :)
