Our 16 hour journey to Holland via Germany was even more difficult than we had thought. We missed several trains, had to look for alternative ways, could not sleep because of neverending train transfers, and were hungry, tired and pissed off. I vividly remember having breakfast coffee and soup from a vending machine at the station somewhere in Germany, asking for hot water in a bakery for our instant soup, loitering in McDonalds, asking for drinking water and looking for toilets; and of course – our desperate mood and questioning why everything was screwing up on the second day. I only enjoyed the last train to Amsterdam, because there was a very little chance that something could be screwed up till our arrival. I fell asleep and woke up in Amsterdam. When we arrived, we were happy that despite all troubles we were finally there.
